Mourning Site is one of the works in the project Mourning, which is the last and final part of my personal trauma/violence trilogy. The others are I Died In Italy But No One Knows It (2007 – 10) and Post Trauma Documents (2011 – 15). Mourning consists of photographs, fabric works and objects based mostly upon bad selfies and photographs documenting feelings of grief of losing oneself to violence.
In Mourning Site, an unknown man had placed himself at the exact same spot as I were assaulted. In other works did I incorporate items found at the crime scene and sew them into fabric works.
