Only The Sun Was Witness

Only The Sun Was Witness was a collaboration between Jelling Asylum Center and me in Denmark. In the spring of 2017 did I hold a workshop where refugees from all over the world, made drawings, wrote poems and other texts about their escape from their home country, their (uncertain) stay in Denmark and their wishes and dreams for the future.
When the drawings were shown at an exhibition at Vejle Art Museum in Denmark, they were exposed to water damage leaving the drawings slightly ruined and fragile.
In 2018 did I use the drawings in an installation for my solo exhibition The Image and The Witness at Memory of the Future in Paris.
