Submission and The Re-making of His-Story

For 5 years did I work in the sex industry, that made me analyse the relationship between porn and masculinity, trying to question and subvert the masculine order (the sleeping bag I did sew while working in a sex shop in central Copenhagen). I made two photo sessions, one for a company who made cockrings, the deal was that I modelled for them for their website and I could use the photographs as I wanted. The other one was for a semi professional photographer where I posed as a porn star, the latter series titled His-story has only been shown in an exhibition at Contemporary Concerns Kunstverin, Vienna, 2009 – 10.
